Non-fiction is a genre based off of reality and the truth. Unlike fiction, which is made up, non-fiction deals with real characters, settings, and plots. Non-fiction writing can include biography, autobiography, history books, and newspapers. The most interesting pieces of non-fiction are the ones that include all of the intriguing details that a fiction book might contain. Writing about an event such as 9/11 might be more interesting rather than writing about a boring event such as how ordinary people get ready for bed. Just like fiction, the point of non-fiction is to draw the reader in and provide them with interest.
